A meeting between the two was revealed during Trump's interview with Fox News Sean Hannity on Tuesday night.
“I know Kyle a little bit. He called. He wanted to know if he could come and greet me because he was a different fan of the other boy, ”the former president told Hannity.
Trump said Rittenhouse had visited with his mother and the two had left the former Florida Florida resort "not long ago.
A judge last Friday acquitted Rittenhouse of charges of murder, attempted murder and reckless endangerment after shooting dead two men and injuring a third in Kenosha, Wisconsin in August 2020.

Rittenhouse, who was 17 at the time, shot the three during a riot over police shootings of Jacob Blake. The teenager said he was defending himself when he opened fire.
"That should not have been done," Trump said Tuesday night, referring to Rittenhouse's case. "That was the prosecutor's misconduct."
